After more than two decades of marriage while separately pursuing their professional goals, Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams finally took the advice of their peers and combined their unique talents to create a new career as a performing and recording duo. They have recorded two acclaimed albums and have shared stages with Jackson Browne, John Prine, Emmylou Harris, Phil Lesh & Bob Weir and others. They are the subjects of a new documentary series (“It Was The Music” – look for it soon!) with new live and studio albums in the works. Theirs is a story how music brought and keeps them together.
The First Couple of Americana Music – Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams – return to Roy’s Hall on Saturday, May 4th at 8:00PM. Their voices deftly channeling the timeless sounds of Memphis, Chicago, the Delta, and Appalachia with equal assurance. Larry’s world-famous guitar work – scorching here, funky there, stellar always – punctuates the proceedings with riveting emotion, often like a third voice weighing in on a myriad of emotional states.
